Church Street

Church Street runs between Little Collins and Bourke streets, on the block between King and William streets. It was named for St James' Cathedral, Melbourne's first church, which occupied the land opposite Church Street on Little Collins Street. In 1874, Church Street contained John Williams' boarding house. In 2008, it was surrounded by the offices of insurance companies.
