Ramsden Place

Located between Swanston and Russell streets, and extending north from Flinders Lane, Ramsden Place was named just prior to 1860. In that year, wine merchants Dods & Davidson operated their business from this lane. Today, Ramsden Place is privately owned, having been sold by the City of Melbourne to the adjacent Temperance and General (T & G) Building for $4.3 million in the late twentieth century.
