Printed subscription list with memo handwritten in black ink. Letterhead in black reads "Batman Memorial Fund" in a bold gothic font; underneath is a sketch by Melbourne Police Magistrate Joseph Anderson Panton. The sketch shows a hunched old man supported by a cane and a boy, looking at a simple black cross in a graveyard, signifying the resting place of John Batman. Signed and dated by John J. Shillinglaw
