Physical description

Letter, typewritten in purple ink. Letterhead takes up more than a quarter of the page, and features an engraving of the "Waltham Watch Depot". Top centre is the British coat-of-arms and the legend "Under Vice Regal Patronage". "H. Newman and Sons" is printed in a triumphant style in bold capitals, with the legend "Lapidaries and Dealers of Precious Stones".
