Drewery Alley

Drewery Alley is located between Elizabeth and Swanston streets, extending west from Drewery Lane, between Lonsdale and Little Lonsdale streets. It is situated just north of Drewery Place. Drewery Alley, along with Drewery Lane and Drewery Place, were named after chemist Thomas Drewery, who was elected a City Councillor for Gipps Ward in 1851. Today Drewery Alley provides a right-of-way for residential buildings located in the surrounding area.
