A small residential suburb to the east of Tullamarine, Gladstone Park is bounded to the east and north by Moonee Ponds Creek, and to the south and west by the Western Ring Road and Tullamarine Freeway. The suburb's name comes from a 19th-century grazing property in the area owned by Thomas Gladstone. Housing was developed from the mid-1960s by developers Costain and A.V. Jennings, with a curvilinear street plan designed to deter through traffic.
