A residential suburb east of Moonee Ponds Creek, Glenroy is located between Pascoe Vale to the south and Broad-meadows to the north. The suburb is named after early Scottish settler Duncan Cameron's property, subdivided in the 1880s. Housing development after World War II was supported by Australian National Airways, the War Service Homes Commission, and the Housing Commission of Victoria. Glenroy features the Northern Golf Club and the Northern Memorial Park.
