Keon Park

(3073, 14 km N, Darebin City)

Keon Park is a residential locality between Reservoir and Thomastown. A railway station opened in the vicinity in 1929. Housing development in the 1950s was accompanied by the opening of a primary school (1955) and technical school (1959). Keon Park took its name from politician Standish Michael Keon (1913-87), State member for Richmond and later federal MP for Yarra.
