(3160, 35 km SE, Yarra Ranges Shire)
Located in the southern part of the Dandenong Ranges, Tecoma was formerly known as part of Upper Fern Tree Gully. Early settlement proceeded in the 1890s, and the locality, situated just to the west of Belgrave, was officially named Tecoma after the new railway station in 1924. The name is derived from that of an exotic flowering creeper.
