Chester Lane

Chester Lane leads north from Flinders Lane between Russell and Exhibition streets, hooking westwards mid-block. In 1895, the lane serviced the Flinders Hotel, which stretched the entire length of Chester Lane on its west side, and several small terraces. In 1920, the Doery Davies & Co. Stables were located in Chester Lane. Today it winds around the sizable office buildings of 101 Collins Street.
