Club Lane

Club Lane is in the south-east of the city, off Little Collins Street between Exhibition and Spring streets. It was previously called Collins Lane, but was renamed in honour of the Melbourne Club premises, which were built adjoining the lane in 1859. In 1895, the entrance to the lane adjoined the Racket Court, and further down, a garden, lawn, bowling green and cellar. Club Lane is now gated, and is considered the property of the Melbourne Club.
