Hicks Lane

Hicks Lane was located between Queen and Elizabeth streets, extending south from Little Collins Street to a dead-end. It was adjacent on the west side to Fleming Lane. The lane was named in 1905 for the drapers Hicks Atkinson. Hicks Lane was the site of several different commercial businesses in 1920, including a factory and printer and publisher.
