Law Courts Place

Law Court Place was a portion of Little Bourke Street between William and Queen streets. Law Courts Place connected into Post Office Place and Gordon Place to become Little Bourke Street. The nomenclature was not officially approved but informally accepted by local businesses. A letter from Herbert del Cott Pty Ltd to the Melbourne Town Clerk in 1923, states that the 'locality is also known as Law Courts Place, and we, together with other business firms in the same area, adopt law Courts Place as our address.'

In 1930, the Beaufort Hotel was located in Law Courts Place.
