Physical description

Letter, typewritten in blue ink. Letterhead features an image of a lighthouse surmounted by "The Ocean", in heavy bold capitals. Legends include: "The Bonds of this Corporation are accepted by all Departments of H.M. Government"; "Empowered by Special Act of Parliament"; "Over 100,000 pounds already invested in Colonial Government Securities"' and "Founded 1871". Down the entire left-hand margin the various kinds of insurance offered are spelled out in red and blue ink.
