Post Office Place

Post Office Place was a portion of Little Bourke Street between Queen and Elizabeth streets. In 1923, a letter was sent to the Melbourne City Town Clerk asking for this portion of the city to be officially called Post Office Place. Whilst the change was not made officially, it was decided that the street signs should be posted as 'Little Bourke Street (Post Office Place - East)' and 'Little Bourke Street (Post Office Place (Post Office Place - West)'.
