D'Arcy Alley

D'Arcy Alley was located between Elizabeth and Swanston streets, extending south from La Trobe Street and intersecting with Knox Place. The lane no longer exists as the land is now part of the Melbourne Central site. It was probably named in 1864 after Michael D'Arcy, the landlord of the Traveller's Rest Hotel, also known as the Traveller's Home Hotel.
