Drewery Place

Drewery Place is located between Elizabeth and Swanston streets, extending west from Drewery Lane. It is located between Drewery Alley to the north, and Sniders Lane to the south. Drewery Place, along with Drewery Lane and Drewery Alley, were named after chemist Thomas Drewery, who was elected a City Councillor for Gipps Ward in 1851. Commercial warehouses located at 22 Drewery Place have been placed on the Victorian Heritage Inventory, which lists places and objects in Victoria which possess archaeological value.
