Description

Letter from Russell Martin, Hon. Sec. of Melbourne University Students' Representative Council, to the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, requesting permission to change the date of a procession. The Secretarypromises that the students will "hurry through the streets, + thus minimise the disruption to the traffic".

Physical description

Letter, handwritten in black ink. Letterhead in blue ink features University crest in the centre, with legend "Postera Crescam Laude", and is underwritten "Melbourne University Students' Representative Council". Letter undated, but a note in the margin reads "Permit posted 27/3/09", so the letter is presumed to have been written some time in 1909.
